Tomato Soup
Ingredients
Tomato base:
- Tomato juice
- sugar
- salt
- pepper
- garlic powder
- basil
- oregano
- thyme
Tomato soup:
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 3 Tbsp. flour or cornstarch
- 1 jar tomato base
- 2 cups milk or extra tomato juice
Directions
Tomato base
- Per pint jar add
- tomato juice (hot)
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- dash of- garlic powder, basil, oregano, thyme
- Can while hot
Tomato soup
- Melt 2 Tbsp. butter in a pan
- Blend in 3 Tbsp. flour or cornstarch
- Stir in 1 pint of tomato base
- Bring to boil and boil for 1 minute
- If using milk pour the hot mix into the cold milk
- Heat until almost boiling and serve
