Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 12 oz fresh cranberries
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Zest of 1 orange

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat combine the sugar, orange juice, and water
  2. Add cranberries, salt, cinnamon stick, and orange zest
  3. Bring it to a simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently
  4. Simmer for about 10 minutes, or until most of the cranberries have popped
  5. Remove from the heat and let it cool
  6. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use
