Chocolate Chip Cookies

Makes 2ish dozen

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter softened
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 package or so of semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Beat together the butter and sugars until creamy
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla, beat well
  4. In a separate bowl combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix well
  5. Add the flour mixture to the butter egg mixture and combine well
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips
  7. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown
  8. Cool 2 minutes on the cookie sheet before removing to a cooling rack
